Celtx provides you with all necessary tools for writing screenplays, audio plays, stage plays, film scripts, novels, comic books, etc.
In my opinion, this small program is very well built. It doesn't come with high system requirements and allows you to easily start writing. The program can be used by both amateurs and professional writers. Its graphical user-interface impresses through the great number of tools that it has to offer.
When you first run the program, you are offered the opportunity to select the project template that you desire (film, audio-visual, theater, audio play, comic book, storyboard, novel, etc.) or to open one of the included sample projects. I opened the script for “Wonderful Wizard of OZ” and I was impressed to see the great amount of information regarding each character, author, and screenplay that it offered.
Celtx also includes a Toolbox which can be populated with add-ons that can be downloaded from the developer’s website. Even if you’re not a professional writer, you can give Celtx a try. You might be amazed by ideas that will come to you after you start writing.
